About IDRT

Our Mission:

We are a group of independent volunteers creating a place where everyone works together, to provide direct assistance to those who are victims of disaster, no politics or brands. Together we can change the way we respond, together and united in our missions. We respond to weather events (Hurricanes, Tornadoes, Floods, Winter Storms, etc.), as well as catastrophic events affecting families and their property.

The idea for Independent Disaster Response Team began as Winter Storm Team 2021 in Nacogdoches, Texas, with Spring and Dee using their massive and powerful points of contacts, built from their years in the disaster response and relief fields. They formed a team of seasoned FEMA certified, local and remote volunteers with a page that attracted more than 3,000 views in under 36 hours, with the common goal to help and respond to a crippling and very uncommon snowstorm that impacted Texas, stranding a state unfamiliar to snow and ice.

After the huge success and response back, they decided to create an 501c3 organization of their own where all independent volunteers could serve without politics, brands, or competition, just people helping people, like it was in the dark days of Katrina in Texas and Louisiana , keeping with the true spirit of disaster relief, and that is how IDRT was formed.

We are a woman founded organization, but don't let that give you apprehensions, as IDRT is fierce and is making waves as THE force to be reckoned with, alongside big names like Crowdsource Rescue.
